Before you begin

Diagnostic Tests and Exams for ICDL courses are accessed through the ICDL Skillbox website.

To access ICDL Diagnostic Tests or Exams, you must have:

  • An active ICDL registration
  • Your Skillbox login details
  • A supported device and browser
⚠️ Mac devices are not suitable for ICDL application based assessments.

Minimum diagnostic score

A minimum score of 85 percent is required on each ICDL diagnostic test before you can proceed to the exam.

The diagnostic test checks your readiness for the exam and highlights areas that may need further study.

If you do not reach 85 percent, follow these steps before attempting the diagnostic test again:

  1. Open your diagnostic test report using the test link.
  2. Review the areas where your score was below the required standard.
  3. Revisit the relevant video lessons.
  4. Complete all related exercises and quizzes.
  5. Attempt the diagnostic test again when you feel confident.
Please note
A maximum of three attempts is available for each diagnostic test.
