Before You Book Your Exam
Technical Requirements
- A stable broadband connection with at least 10 Mbps download speed
- A laptop or desktop computer running Windows 10 or Windows 11
- A webcam
- A keyboard and mouse
- Google Chrome browser
- Screen resolution of at least 1280 × 800
- Only one monitor connected
- The device must not be in Windows S Mode
Applications Used During the Exam
- Zoom
Used by the proctor to supervise your exam and monitor screen sharing. - SkillBox website
Used to complete your ICDL exam.
Additional Requirements
Identification
- Passport
- Driving licence
- PPS card
SkillBox Account
You must have a SkillBox account before your exam.
You will already have an account from completing your diagnostic. Make sure you know your username and password.
Exam Environment
- Quiet and private room
- Join at least 15 minutes early
- No other devices permitted
- No notes, paper, pens, or recording devices
- All other applications closed
How to Book Your Exam
- Open the booking calendar using the link in your exam booking email
- Enter the password provided
- Select an available date and time
- Complete all required fields
- Select Book Now
You must join the exam session 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
Cancelling an Exam
If you cannot attend your exam within the cancellation window, email:
