What are Certiport Exams
Certiport exams are internationally recognised digital skills and IT certification exams.
They assess practical skills in areas such as Microsoft Office, Adobe tools, and digital literacy.
Certifications include Information Technology Specialist, CCST, Adobe Certified Professional, and Microsoft Office Specialist.
How exams work
eCollege learners complete Certiport exams through Cenit College, an authorised remote test centre.
- Exams are completed online
- Exams are supervised remotely by a Cenit College proctor
- Zoom is used for supervision
- You do not attend a physical test centre
You will receive instructions before your exam.
Before you take your exam
- Complete all coursework
- Complete test preparation
- Ensure your device meets requirements
- Have a valid photo ID
- Have a Certiport account
Technical requirements
- Stable internet connection of at least 10 Mbps, hotspots are not advised
- Windows 10 or 11, macOS Sonoma 14 or later, or Chromebook
- Webcam
- Google Chrome
- Minimum resolution 1280 by 800
Important
The virtual exam environment is Windows based even if you use a Mac or Chromebook.
Test Internet Speed
- You can test the internet speed here - Test your connection
VPN and security
- VPN software should be disabled.
- If antivirus software interferes, you may be asked to disable it temporarily.
External monitors
- Must be set to duplicate display, not extended.
Applications used
Zoom
- Used for identity checks and supervision.
- If possible, use a second device for Zoom.

- This is where you complete your exam.

Quiet private room
- Join 40 minutes early
- Close all other applications
Not allowed:

Booking your exam
You will be invited to book your exam after you are eligible.
- Open booking link
- Enter password
- Select a time
- Select Book Now
Important
Your exam will not appear in your Certiport account.
Exam day
- Join Zoom on time
- Complete ID checks
- Access exam environment
- Follow supervisor instructions
Cancelling an exam
Contact examcentre@cenitcollege.ie if you need to cancel within the allowed time.

What email will I receive?
You will receive a confirmation email immediately after booking the exam and then 4-hours prior to the exam start time.
