I didn’t get 85% in the ICDL Diagnostic — can I still proceed?

I did not reach 85 per cent in the diagnostic. What are my options?

If you did not reach 85 per cent in the diagnostic but feel confident in the material, you may still be able to proceed.

You have two options depending on how confident you feel.

Please note
A maximum of three diagnostic attempts is available for each module.

Option 1 Proceed to the exam

If you feel ready to take the exam despite not reaching 85 per cent, you can request to proceed.

To do this:

1. Complete the Certification Request Form.
2. Our team will review your request.
3. If approved, your exam booking will be arranged.

If you have completed all three diagnostic attempts and feel confident and ready to proceed, you should complete the Certification Request Form and we will arrange your exam accordingly.

Important
Approval to proceed is not automatic and depends on a review of your request.

Option 2 Further preparation before the exam

If you would prefer more preparation before taking the exam, additional support is available.

You can:

• Request a repeat diagnostic for additional practice
• Revisit the video sections related to the questions you answered incorrectly
• Complete the related exercises and quizzes to reinforce your learning

Further revision can help strengthen your understanding and improve your confidence before the exam.

Before taking your exam, it is strongly recommended that you:

• Review the video content linked to the questions you answered incorrectly in the diagnostic
• Complete the associated exercises and quizzes

This will help consolidate your learning and ensure you are fully prepared.
