What are CompTIA exams
CompTIA exams are internationally recognised IT certification exams.
They validate technical knowledge and practical skills in information technology.
CompTIA certifications are vendor-neutral, meaning they are not linked to a single technology provider.
They are widely used by colleges, training providers, employers, and industry bodies to confirm IT competence.
CompTIA exams are commonly taken by learners pursuing careers in:
- IT support
- Networking
- Cybersecurity
- Technical and digital roles
Examples of CompTIA certifications
Common CompTIA certifications include:
- CompTIA A+ for entry-level IT support skills
- CompTIA Network+ for networking fundamentals
- CompTIA Security+ for cybersecurity fundamentals
The specific CompTIA exam you take depends on the programme you are enrolled in.
