What are my options?
If you are unable to complete your course before the enrolment end date, you have the following options.
- Request an extension by following the process outlined below. All requests are reviewed individually, and approval is not automatic.
- End your enrolment now and re-enrol when the course is available again and when time allows.
Important
If you plan to stop and rejoin later, you must end your current enrolment first. This is done using the Enrolment End Form on the support portal.
Can I join the course at another time?
There are two types of courses on eCollege.
Continuous courses
- You can start a continuous course at any time.
- If you need to pause your studies, you can just complete the Enrolment End Form on the support portal to end your current enrolment.
- You can rejoin the course through Fetchcourses when you are ready to continue.
Fixed courses
- Fixed courses start on scheduled dates and run with a cohort.
- You can view upcoming start dates on the eCollege course schedules.
- If you need to stop your studies for now, you can just complete the Enrolment End Form on the support portal to end your current enrolment.
- You can rejoin through Fetchcourses when a new cohort becomes available.
How to unenrol from a course on eCollege
To end your current enrolment, you can just complete the Enrolment End Form on the support portal.
Your request will be processed within five working days.
Can I receive an extension?
Cenit College may grant one extension in exceptional circumstances.
You must complete the course and any exam within the approved extension period.
To request an extension, submit a completed Extension Request Form.
Your request will be reviewed by the Cenit College Support team, who will communicate their decision within five working days of receiving the completed form.
Examples of reasons that may be accepted include:
- Bereavement of a close family member
- Temporary illness
- Injury
- Compassionate consideration for learners observing religious or cultural events
- Very near completion of the course and examination
Other circumstances may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
How long can an extension be granted?
The length of an extension depends on the duration of the course you are enrolled on.
Extension lengths by course duration
- Courses lasting four weeks may receive a one-week extension
- Courses lasting five to eight weeks may receive a two-week extension
- Courses lasting nine to fifteen weeks may receive a three-week extension
- Courses lasting sixteen weeks or more may receive a four-week extension
Extensions are reviewed individually and are not automatic.
